I gotta say I really enjoy Reaper’s Midnight Black.

Here’s the bull basecoated in Midnight black and then the scales are edged with Cryx Bane Base.

I’m gonna add a glow to his eyes and perhaps dry brush his belly with an alternate color but for now I like where it is.

So here’s a quick shot of him:

I removed his integral base and pinned his hind legs.

FYI — The integral base will pop right off the mini.  I cut it down and then realized it was attached at each foot.  A little leverage … ping … no more integral base.

I have a lot of bases, but I chose the flagstone base from Stonehaven Miniatures.  I think it came with their trolls.

The base is finished … just needs an occupant.
